OMAHA, NE - Happy New Year! The Omaha Royals will open their final season at Rosenblatt Stadium on Thursday, April 8th and the night will have a New Year's theme. The Royals host the Memphis Redbirds at 7:05 p.m. Thursday in the opener of a four-game series and an eight-game home stand. These exciting promotions are slated for the first home stand of the season:

Thursday, April 8, 7:05 p.m.: Opening Night is presented by Werner Enterprises. It's Thirsty Thursday, with $1 beers and Cokes courtesy of 96.1 The Brew, Action 3 News and The City Weekly! The 1st 2,500 fans will receive a Royals magnet schedule, presented by Innovation Research, and fans will be entertained between innings by the national entertainment act Rally! Royals staff members will be celebrating the New Year by wearing tuxedos courtesy of Tip Top Tux. The night also features a champagne toast, presented by The Homy Inn and party favors courtesy of Oriental Trading Company.

Friday, April 9, 7:05 p.m.: It's the 1st Werner Enterprises Friday Fireworks of 2010. Enjoy the best post-game fireworks show in the Midwest! The night is also presented by 99.9 KGOR, KETV and The City Weekly.

Saturday, April 10, 7:05 p.m.: Werner Enterprises Opening Weekend continues with a retro cap giveaway. Rosenblatt's gates open at 6:00 p.m. and the 1st 1,500 fans will receive a replica cap like those worn by the Omaha Royals players from 2002-2004. The night is also presented by 1620 the Zone, WOWT and The Reader.

Sunday, April 11, 1:35 p.m.: It's U.S. Bank Family FUNday, with clowns, face painting and balloon art. Subway Kids Club members get in FREE and following the game all kids are invited to run the bases with Casey, presented by Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church. Plus, it's a Nebraska College Savings Program "Hit the Books" day: kids who completed the Hit the Books reading program earned a ticket to the game. The day is also presented by KGBI 100.7 FM, Fox 42 and Family Spectrum Magazine.

Monday, April 12, 6:35 p.m.: The Royals open a four-game series vs. the Nashville Sounds and fans will enjoy $1 hot dogs, courtesy of Rotella's Italian Bakery! Plus, it's another Nebraska College Savings Program "Hit the Books" game. The night is also presented by 89.7 The River.

Tuesday, April 13, 6:35 p.m.: The best deal in Omaha is back: it's Valpak 2-Buck 2uesday. General Admission tickets are only 2 bucks! It's also another Nebraska College Savings Program "Hit the Books" game. The night is also presented by CD 105.9, The CW and The Reader.

Wednesday, April 14, 6:35 p.m.: It's Subway Kids Eat Free Night: the 1st 100 kids 12-and-under receive a free personal Subway pizza and a Coke and all kids after that get a free hot dog and a Coke! Plus, Subway Kids Club members get in FREE. It's also another Nebraska College Savings Program "Hit the Books" game. The night is also presented by Star 104.5, The CW, The Midtown O, The West O and The Sarpy Sun.

Thursday, April 15, 6:35 p.m.: It's Thirsty Thursday! Enjoy $1 beers and Cokes, courtesy of 96.1 The Brew, Action 3 News and The City Weekly. It's also Greek Night, with area fraternities and sororities competing against each other in several between-inning contests.
