Aberdeen Wings News Release
Your Aberdeen Wings made it 8 straight Saturday night at the Odde Ice Center when they beat the Coulee Region Chill 4-1. Coulee jumped out on top with a 1st period goal at the 13:29 marker. After that it was all Aberdeen. Kyle Haak got the scoring started for the Wings with a wrap around goal at the 16:53 marker with the assists going to Jonathan Grebosky and Dylan Dailey. Both teams went into the intermission tied 1-1.
In the 2nd Erik Baskin continued his hot streak when he added 2 more of his own to increase the Wings lead to 3-1. Assisting on Baskin's 2 goals were Grebosky Dailey, Patrick Steinhauser and Liam McGing.
Jonathan Grebosky would add another 3rd period insurance goal to give the Wings the 4-1 victory. Assisting on the Grebosky goal were Haak and Dailey. Dailey earned the playmaker with 3 assists on the night. In net the Wings were able to get another solid performance out of Zach Nagelvoort who was able to stop 33 of the 34 shots he faced. The Wings didn't get the help they needed however as Brookings fell to Minot. The Wings will be back in action next Friday in Brookings looking to return the favor. Then back home Saturday March 30th to close out the season against Brookings. They will hold their annual jersey auction after Saturday nights game. This year the Wings will be auctioning off their red jerseys! This past weekend the Wings were able to raise over $1,600 for the Red Cross as Justin Parizek auctioned off his top prospects uniform for the cause!
