CARSON, CA (Tuesday, September 7, 2004) â Major League Soccer's newest expansion team in Los Angeles, owned by Jorge Vergara and Antonio Cue, will be collecting resumes and interviewing for positions in sales, marketing, public relations and administration departments this Sunday, September 12 at the Fiestas Patrias 2004, a festival organized by Univision Radio at Whittier Narrows Regional Park in celebration of Mexico's independence.
Representatives of the new club will participate beginning at 11:00am (PT). Fans can also take this opportunity to reserve season tickets for the club's upcoming inaugural season, which will begin April 2005.
The team's President, Antonio Cue, the club's CEO Javier Leon, as well as General Manager and Senior Vice President, Whit Haskel, will participate in the event at Whittier Narrows, along with other representatives of the sports club.
"We are excited to celebrate the Fiestas Patrias with our fans this weekend. We are committed to assembling the finest front office in Major League Soccer and one that will carry on and grow the century long Club Deportivo Guadalajara tradition in our country," Haskel said. "This is only the beginning of our involvement with the community."
