Albuquerque, NM - New Mexico United will travel to Austin, Texas to take on MLS opponent Austin FC in the Round of 32 of the 2023 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. All-time, United has a 2-1 record against MLS opponents.
United earned their Round of 32 berth by way of victories over UDA NMSU (6-0) in the second round and Phoenix Rising (2-1) in the third round. The match-up represents the Black & Yellow's second-ever trip to the Round of 32 - In 2019, United advanced to the quarterfinals of the tournament, defeating two MLS opponents along the way.
