New Mexico United News Release
Albuquerque, NM - New Mexico United and First Financial Credit Union are thrilled to announce the creation of the First Financial Training Center, the new home for New Mexico United's First Team, U23 team, and Academy team. The facility, located at Mesa del Sol, features a world-class all-natural grass surface where United trains on a daily basis, United's locker room, team meeting space/film room, offices for coaches, space for athletic training, and more.
"The training center provides us the opportunity to be efficient and functional," said New Mexico United Head Coach/Technical Director Zach Prince. "We now have all the tools to allow the staff to prepare the team and the players to prepare their bodies. The accessibility to be able to watch film prior to a training session and second later to be on the field is really beneficial for us. A huge thanks to Improve Group and EB Industries for creating such a beautiful and highly effective training center."
"We are proud to lend our name and support to such a great community asset," said Ron Moorehead First Financial Credit Union's President/CEO. "As a member-owned local credit union, we understand the importance of this 'community first' approach which is why we felt this was the ideal partnership for First Financial Credit Union."
Prince and the United first team have been training at this facility for the past several months, as construction has continued. With just a few touches remaining until completion, United hopes to be able to welcome media and the public to explore the space in the coming weeks.
The construction of this vital facility would not have been possible without the incredible support of First Financial Credit Union. Their care for community and growing the game in New Mexico have made a difference in the lives of players, youth, fans, and our entire New Mexican community. United's U23 and Academy teams use the facility for their home matches, as well.
New Mexico United's next match is scheduled for next Wednesday, June 22nd at Isotopes Park.
