Montclair, NJ (March 2006)-The New Jersey Jackals are calling out to all fans to kick start the 2006 season with an Open House on April 1st at 1pm at Floyd Hall Arena, located next to Yogi Berra Stadium. Participants can meet "Jack the Jackal" and the rest of the Jackals staff, have refreshments, enjoy fun and exciting contests and be the first to buy individual tickets for the 2006 season.
"We can't wait for the 2006 season to start," said Director of Group Sales, Brooke Kenna. "This Open House is a great way for fans to have fun and get ready for what will hopefully be another winning season for the New Jersey Jackals."
During the open house, the Jackals will also be holding try-outs for the J-Squad Dance Team. Men and women between the ages of 17 and 21 are encouraged to try out for the team of dancers that will get Jackals fans on their feet at Yogi Berra Stadium. The Jackals are looking to fill two squads of ten members each. All dancers must bring a resume and wear sneakers. Dancers must pre-register via email at: brooke@jackals.com and check in at 1pm on April 1st.
At the Open House, fans can interact with mascot "Jack the Jackal" and learn about all the great programs within the Jackals organization, including: the Junior Jackals Kids Club, Hit the Books program, group ticket packages and how to become a host family.
As part of the independent Can-Am league, the Jackals will host 46 exciting games against the Brockton Rox, Nashua Pride, New Haven Cutters, North Shore Spirit, Les Capitales de Quebec, Worcester Tornadoes and new rivals, the Sussex Skyhawks. Standard game times are 7:05 pm Monday through Saturday and 2:05 pm on Sundays.

Jackals play their home games at Yogi Berra Stadium, located on the grounds of Montclair State University. Yogi Berra Stadium opened in 1998 as the first top-of-the-line stadium in the Can-Am League. The stadium, which is flanked by the Yogi Berra Museum and Learning Center on its first-base side, has quickly earned the reputation as the home of champions as the Jackals have won four championship titles in eight years.
