October 19, 2018 - National Lacrosse League (NLL)
Saskatchewan Rush News Release
Saskatoon, SK - Daniella Ponticelli is the NEW host and producer of Rush TV. This season, she'll go behind the scenes with the team, be out and about in the community with Rush fans, and showcase the amazing work of Rush partner businesses.
On home game days, Daniella will be between the benches at SaskTel Centre, conducting interviews with players and coaches as the on-field reporter for Bleacher Report Live.
Previously, Daniella was a senior web editor and broadcaster for Rawlco Radio in Saskatoon and Regina. She's worked in television news as a videojournalist for CTV Winnipeg and a host/producer for Shaw TV Saskatoon, and in print as a reporter for the Winnipeg Sun.
In 2016, Daniella became a playing member of the Saskatoon Roller Derby League. Since then, she's become an internationally-recognized announcer and play-by-play voice for the sport. This November, she will be doing broadcast play-by-play for the 2018 Women's Flat Track Roller Derby Championships in New Orleans live on WFTDA.tv.
Daniella's versatility stems from her education in the Creative Communications program. In 2012, she earned her journalism diploma from Red River College and a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications from The University of Winnipeg.
Born in Cape Town, South Africa, Daniella moved with her family to Winnipeg in 2000. Since then, she's fallen in love with the prairies and has made Saskatchewan home -- becoming a full-fledged fan of the Rush and the Riders.
