CHESTER, Pa. - Philadelphia Union II took on New England Revolution II at Gillette Stadium on Sunday night in the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals of the 2023 MLS NEXT Pro Playoffs. With the loss, Union II were eliminated from the MLS NEXT Pro Playoffs. New England opened the scoring in the 26th minute with a penalty kick conversion. In the second half, New England found the back of the net two more times; first in the 54th minute, and then again in the 64th minute. Defender Juan Castillo put Union II on the scoreboard in the 78th minute with a left-footed shot to the upper left corner of the net. Shortly after in the 82nd minute, midfielder Boubacar Diallo converted on a penalty kick to cut Union II's deficit to just one. Union II put pressure on New England in stoppage time but were unable to find an equalizer.
