New England Revolution News Release
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - After playing five of its first seven games on the road, the New England Revolution will begin a stretch in which it plays three of its next four matches at home when the club hosts the Colorado Rapids on Saturday, May 16, at Gillette Stadium. The game will be televised live on TV38 beginning at 7:30 p.m. ET, while the WEEI Radio Network will also carry the action.
New England (2-2-3, 9 pts.) will be looking to continue its historical success against Colorado (3-2-2, 11 pts.) at Gillette Stadium, where the Revs are 5-2-2 against the Rapids since the facility opened in 2002. However, Colorado reversed the trend on April 12 of last season, earning a 1-0 win and ending a streak of seven consecutive winless games in Foxborough dating back to July 24, 2002.
This will be the first of two regular-season meetings between the Revs and Rapids this season, and the only one at Gillette Stadium. The teams won't meet again in the MLS regular-season until Oct. 3, when the season series will conclude at Dick's Sporting Goods Park.
