
NCAA Division III Regional Baseball Tournament to be Played at Riverfront Stadium

Waterloo, IA - The Waterloo Bucks have announced that they have teamed with Wartburg College to host an NCAA Division III Regional at Riverfront Stadium in May. Six to eight teams will play in a double-elimination format with the winner advancing to the 2015 NCAA Division III Baseball Championship in Appleton, Wisconsin. The Regional Tournament in Waterloo will take place May 13 through 16.
"We're more than thrilled to be able to team up with Wartburg to host an NCAA Regional," said Bucks general manager Dan Corbin. "Bringing events like this to Riverfront Stadium has been an organizational goal of ours for years and we were able to work with Wartburg head baseball coach Joel Holst to make this a reality. We're eager to showcase our stadium that has seen many upgrades over the past seven months."

The Bucks, the winningest team in all of summer-collegiate baseball over the past two years, will open the 2015 season on the road versus the Alexandria Blue Anchors on May 26, but return to Waterloo for their home opener versus the Mankato MoonDogs on May 28.
