(WINDSOR, ON) The Halifax Rainmen won each of the first three quarters, as they defeat the Windsor Express 100-93 in Game 2 of the NBL Finals on Friday night.

The teams split the first two games of the series and will now head to Halifax for the next three games.

Halifax scored the first eight points of the game and stretched their lead to a period high 13 points with a Seiya Ando three pointer, making it 32-19 after the first quarter.

The second quarter solved nothing, with the Rainmen outscoring Windsor 24-22 to send the game to halftime with a 56-41 score.

Halifax's Chris Cayole and Windsor's Ryan Anderson each had 12 points in the half.

Early in the third quarter, the Rainmen lead ballooned to 24 points with a 73-49 score before the Express were able to put a dent in the disadvantage, closing the quarter down 16.

But Windsor came to life in the fourth.

After the Rainmen made the lead 20 again, the Express jumped out to a 13-3 run and closed the gap to nine points.

Windsor would pull as close as five points with 20 seconds left, but two free throws and a missed three pointer closed out the game and knotted up this best of seven series. at 1-1.

The Express got 25 points from Tony Bennett and 16 each from Kirk Williams Jr and Ryan Anderson but struggled as a team from the floor, shooting 35.2% and 63.3% from the free throw line.

The series now shifts to Nova Scotia, as the Rainmen host Games 3, 4 and 5, starting with Game 3 on Friday, April 23rd at 6:00pm Eastern time.

Windsor will not return home unless there is a Game 6, which would take place on Tuesday, April 28th at the WFCU Centre at 7:00pm.
