FAMILY TIES: LA Clippers assignee Mfiondu Kabengele was named NBA G League Player of the Week for games played Monday, January 13 through Sunday, January 19. Kabengele, the nephew of Dikembe Mutombo, registered 38 points and 14 rebounds in a 135-116 victory over the Stockton Kings on Jan. 19. He has recorded at least 25 points in three consecutive games. Kabengele and the Clippers visit the Salt Lake City Stars tonight at 9 p.m. ET on ESPN+.
PATTON'S PARTY: Oklahoma City Thunder assignee Justin Patton tallied an NBA G League season-high 45 points, 13 rebounds, nine assists and six blocks for the Oklahoma City Blue in a 149-140 win over the South Bay Lakers on Jan. 14. Patton and the Blue host the Texas Legends on Thursday, Jan. 23 at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN+.
LEADING THE HERD: Guard Jaylen Adams has helped the Wisconsin Herd maintain the best record in the league. On Jan. 16, Adams collected his 12th 20-point game of the season with 27 points in a 139-120 victory over the Erie BayHawks. Adams and the Herd host the Grand Rapids Drive tonight at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN+.
In his sixth season, Utah Jazz head coach Quin Snyder has his team near the top of the Western Conference standings. Snyder, the 2008-09 NBA G League Coach of Year with the Austin Toros, has guided the Jazz to three consecutive playoff appearances. With fellow NBA G League Alum Rudy Gobert as his team's defensive anchor, Utah is considered to be among the top contenders in the Western Conference. A likely All-Star selection, Gobert refined his skills with the Bakersfield Jam during the 2013-14 season.
The 7-1 French center is averaging 15.4 points and 14.5 rebounds this season. The Jazz is 9-1 in its last 10 games.
TOP PERFORMANCES
Led by guard Walt Lemon Jr., the Fort Wayne Mad Ants are currently on a three-game winning streak. Lemon Jr. averaged 25.0 points, 7.0 re- bounds and 7.0 assists in that span.
Santa Cruz Warriors guard Jeremy Pargo finished with 34 points and four assists in a 115-107 win over the Iowa Wolves on Jan. 15. Santa Cruz is 15-11 on the season.
Memphis Hustle guard Dusty Hannahs paced his team with 35 points, six assists and five rebounds in a 152-136 victory over the South Bay Lakers on Jan. 17. Hannahs is averaging 22.0 points this season.
On Jan. 17, Raptors 905 guard Tyler Ennis regis- tered 35 points, six rebounds and seven assists in 123-114 victory over the Canton Charge.
