CHARLOTTE BOBCATS ASSIGN SHERRON COLLINS TO NBA D-LEAGUE AFFILIATE MAINE RED CLAWS

Charlotte Bobcats guard Sherron Collins was assigned to the Maine Red Claws, Charlotte's NBA Development League affiliate, it was announced yesterday. The assignment marks the 17th time in the 2010-11 season an NBA player has been assigned to an NBA D-League affiliate, and it is the first assignment for Collins, a rookie out of Kansas. Collins (5-11, 205) has appeared in 12 regular season games for the Bobcats, who signed him as an undrafted free agent. Collins averaged 12.5 points and 2.8 assists for Charlotte in four 2010 NBA Summer League games. The winningest basketball player in Kansas history, Collins helped lead the Jayhawks to 130 victories over four years, including the 2008 NCAA National Championship. In 143 games, Collins averaged 13.2 points and 3.9 assists, and was a consensus All-American as a junior and senior.

OKLAHOMA CITY ASSIGNS BYRON MULLENS TO NBA D-LEAGUE AFFILIATE TULSA 66ERS

Oklahoma City center Byron Mullens was assigned to the Tulsa 66ers, the Thunder's NBA Development League affiliate, it was announced yesterday. The assignment marks the 18th time in the 2010-11 season an NBA player has been assigned to an NBA D-League affiliate, and it is the second assignment for Mullens, a second-year pro out of Ohio State. Mullens (7-0, 275) has appeared in 18 games for the Thunder in the last two seasons, including five this year. He was first assigned to the 66ers last season, when he averaged 15.1 points and 7.5 rebounds in 27 games, earning All-NBA D-League Honorable Mention honors. Oklahoma City acquired Mullens in a Draft-night deal with the Dallas Mavericks, who selected the early-entry candidate in the first round (24th overall) of the 2009 NBA Draft. A former McDonald's All-American, Mullens averaged 8.8 points and 4.7 rebounds in 20.3 minutes in one season at Ohio State, and was named to the Big Ten All-Freshman Team.

ALUMNI ACHIEVEMENTS: A look at NBA D-League Alumni in last night's NBA games:

Nine players with NBA D-League experience competed in three NBA games last night.

Philadelphia's Lou Williams came off the bench to score 16 points in 22 minutes of action in a loss to the Celtics.

New Jersey's Jordan Farmar scored 10 points to go along with three assists and two rebounds in a loss to Dallas.

Previously assigned Nets forward, Terrence Williams tallied six points, four assists, two rebounds, and two steals in a loss to the Mavericks.
