Erie, Pennsylvania, Friday, December 10 - The Erie BayHawks came out flying against the Maine Red Claws and rolled over the visitors with a 120-71 victory on Friday night. Six BayHawks scored in double figures to mark the team's highest scoring output this season and the 49-point victory is the largest margin in franchise history.
The BayHawks (5-3) ran away with the game early taking a 17-point lead after the first quarter. Nate Linhart and Christian Eyenga led the first half attack by chipping in 13 and 10 respectively to help carry a 32-point lead into halftime (69-37). A 27-12 third quarter put the game out of hand.
Every player in the Erie lineup found the scoring column with Linhart leading the charge with 20. Dawan Robinson added 18, Eyenga notched 16, Tasheed Carr and Cedric Jackson both put in 12, and Tasmin Mitchell rounded out the group in double-figures with 11.
The Maine Red Claws (3-5) were led by DeShawn Sims who had the game's only double-double with 22 points and 10 rebounds. Paul Harris added 12 points.
The same two teams face off again on Saturday night at 7pm at the Tullio Arena for the back end of a double header.
