RIO GRAND VALLEY'S MIKE HARRIS NAMED NBA DEVELOPMENT LEAGUE PERFORMER OF THE WEEK
Rio Grande Valley Vipers forward Mike Harris was named NBA Development League Performer of the Week for games played during the week of March 8. The award is Harris' second this year, and the fourth time a Viper has been honored this season. Harris led the Vipers to a 3-1 record last week, including home victories over the Austin Toros and Tulsa 66ers. He recorded double-doubles in all four Vipers games last week, including a 44-point night (16-of-18 from the field) on March 13, in a 126-103 home win over the 66ers. During the week, Harris averaged 31.8 points, shooting 65 percent (46-of-71) from the field, to go with 13.5 rebounds and 3.3 assists. Harris, who's earned GATORADE call-ups to the Houston Rockets and Washington Wizards this season, leads the NBA D-League in scoring (26.9 ppg) and ranks third in rebounds (10.3 rpg).
PHOENIX'S EARL CLARK ASSIGNED TO NBA D-LEAGUE'S IOWA ENERGY
The Phoenix Suns assigned rookie forward Earl Clark to the Iowa Energy of the NBA Development League, it was announced by Suns President of Basketball Operations and General Manager Steve Kerr. The 6-10, 225-pound Clark was selected by the Suns with the 14th overall pick (first round) of the 2009 NBA Draft and has appeared in 45 games this season for Phoenix. Clark will spend his first stint in the D-League. A three-year standout at the University of Louisville, Clark owns averages of 2.7 points and 1.1 rebounds in 7.6 minutes this season for the Suns. Clark has scored in double figures three times in 2009-10, including a career-high 14 points off the bench Nov. 27 at Minnesota.

Curtis Jerrells tallied 35 points, seven assists and five rebounds, as Austin edged Dakota. Lewis Clinch came off the bench to score 22 points for the Toros. Lester Hudson, on assignment from the Memphis Grizzlies, led Dakota with 24 points. Corsley Edwards added 20 for the Wizards.
Blake Ahearn (38) and Mike Gansey (33) combined for 71 points to lead Erie over Utah. Ahearn added nine assists and five rebounds. Gansey had seven rebounds and four steals. Kevin Kruger led Utah with 25 points. Bennet Davis added 15 points and 11 rebounds.
ALUMNI ACHIEVEMENTS: A look at NBA D-League Alumni in last night's NBA games:
15 players with NBA D-League experience competed in six NBA games last night, five as starters.
As a starter for Houston, Aaron Brooks had 31 points and nine assists in a win over Denver.
Andray Blatche started and scored 24 points for Washington in a loss to Utah.
