WARRIORS SIGN CARTIER MARTIN OF NBA D-LEAGUE'S IOWA ENERGY TO 10-DAY CONTRACT

The Golden State Warriors have signed Cartier Martin of the Iowa Energy. Martin is the fifth GATORADE Call-Up of the 2009-10 NBA Development League Season and joins 64 other NBA players with NBA D-League experience. Martin has appeared in 12 games for Iowa this season, nine as a starter and is averaging 14.4 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.8 assists. He has scored in double figures on nine occasions, recording a season-high 25 points during a road victory over the Erie BayHawks on Dec. 27. 2009. During the summer of 2009, Martin was a member of the Warriors Summer League Team in Las Vegas, where he averaged 19.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.33 steals and 1.0 block in 29.3 minutes over three games. Martin returns to the NBA regular season following a GATORADE Call-Up to the Charlotte Bobcats from the Energy last season. In 33 games during the 2008-09 season, Martin scored 86 points and grabbed 26 rebounds.

Alade Aminu had a dominating double-double performance with 30 points and 15 rebounds, adding 3 blocked shots. Cedric Jackson notched 21 points, adding nine assists and seven rebounds while Mike Gansey continued his hot hand with 15 points.

Ron Howard led the Fort Wayne offense with 19 points.

Romel Beck's 28 points, 26 coming in the first half, led the way for Dakota. Renaldo Major was also a huge contributor, adding a season-high 25 points as well as four rebounds and four assists.

Keith Brumbaugh led six Skyforce players in double figures with 17 points. Reggie Williams, Michael Joiner and Mike Nelson added 16 each.

Antoine Agudio led the way for Albuquerque with 25 points. He also paced the team with nine rebounds and seven assists. Kevin Pittsnogle scored 21 points for the T-birds, all in the second half and overtime. Carlos Powell (13), Chad Toppert (12) and Yaroslav Korolev (12) also scored in double figures for the T-Birds.

Dontell Jefferson and Andre Ingram led the way for Utah with 16 points apiece. Carlos Wheeler notched a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds for the Flash.

Six Rio Grande Valley Vipers scored in double-figures led by Mike Harris' 29 points and hauled in 10 rebounds for his second straight double-double since returning to the Vipers on Saturday. Rockets assignee Joey Dorsey finished with 22 points and 10 boards, while Juilan Sensley scored 10 and brought down 11 boards as they had double-doubles as well.

Othyus Jeffers led all Energy scorers with 21 points and five rebounds. Sean Barnette and Jeff Trepagnier each added 16 points. Curtis Stinson scored 12 points, dished out seven assists and hauled in six rebounds in the loss for the Energy.

ALUMNI ACHIEVEMENTS: A look at NBA D-League Alumni in last night's NBA games:

15 players with NBA D-League experience competed in six NBA games last night, four as starters.

Shannon Brown scored a game-high 19 points off the bench for the Lakers, including a 3-pointer at the third quarter buzzer, just a step behind the halfcourt line. In the fourth quarter, he had a pair of back-to-back blocks, which led to a Jordan Farmar 3-pointer to give the Lakers their largest lead of the game, 88-62. Farmar finished as the game's second highest scorer with 17.
