2010 NBA D-LEAGUE SHOWCASE CONTINUES TODAY

The 2010 NBA Development League Showcase tipped off its 16-game schedule on Monday, Jan. 4 and it runs through Thursday, Jan. 7. The sixth annual event is take place at Qwest Arena, home of the Idaho Stampede in Boise, Idaho and features all 16 NBA D-League teams playing two games apiece under one roof. NBA TV, the league's 24 hour network, is featuring seven live game broadcasts of the event, while the other nine games are being shown live, online, for free on NBA Futurecast at nba.com/dleague.

Erie's Alade Aminu raised the 2010 NBA D-League Showcase bar in Wednesday's opening game, finishing with 30 points and 23 rebounds as the BayHawks recovered in overtime to defeat the Bighorns, 92-88. Cedric Jackson added 17 points, 11 assists and four steals.

Desmon Farmar led the Bighorns with 20 points to go with nine rebounds and five assists.

Sioux Falls' Reggie Williams was brilliant in defeat, scoring a Showcase-high 43 points on 15-for-19 shooting to go with 10 rebounds. In two games this week, Williams averaged 29.0 points on 75 percent shooting from the field (21-for-28). Keith Brumbaugh added 17 points.

Alozo Gee scored 34 points as the Toros defeated the Sioux Falls Skyforce, 127-94. Eddie Basden added 20 points, while Dwayne Jones tallied 12 points and 20 rebounds for the Toros.

Bakersfield (3-13) was led by 24 points and nine rebounds from Amara Sy. James Jackson and Jeremy Wise each added 19 points for the Jam.

On assignment from the Houston Rockets, Joey Dorsey tallied 27 points on 11-for-11 shooting, to go with 22 rebounds for Rio Grande Valley. Julian Sensley added 19 points and Garrett Temple and Antonio Anderson each had 17 for the Vipers.

Milton Ambres scored 22 points and Anthony Tolliver and Donell Taylor added 19 each, as the Stampede defeated the Mad Ants, notching their second win in the 2010 NBA D-League Showcase.

Ron Howard led Fort Wayne (6-9) with 23 points. Rob Kurz, who spent the majority of last season with the Golden State Warriors, added 21 points.

ALUMNI ACHIEVEMENTS: A look at NBA D-League Alumni in last night's NBA games:

23 players with NBA D-League experience competed in 10 NBA games last night, five as starters.

Houston's Aaron Brooks led the Rockets with a game-high 34 points in 42 minutes of play, as a starter.

Starting for Utah, CJ Miles scored a game-high 24 points for the Jazz.

Shannon Brown recorded 15 points off the bench in 27 minutes of play for the Lakers.
