2010 NBA D-LEAGUE SHOWCASE TIPS OFF TODAY

The 2010 NBA Development League Showcase tips off its 16-game schedule on Monday, Jan. 4 and runs through Thursday, Jan. 7. The sixth annual event will take place at Qwest Arena, home of the Idaho Stampede in Boise, Idaho and will feature all 16 NBA D-League teams playing two games apiece under one roof. NBA TV, the league's 24 hour network, will feature seven live game broadcasts of the event, while the other nine games will be shown live, online, for free on NBA Futurecast at nba.com/dleague.

PATTY MILLS RECALLED FROM IDAHO STAMPEDE

The Portland Trail Blazers recalled guard Patty Mills from the NBA Development League's Idaho Stampede, it was announced today by General Manager Kevin Pritchard. In two games since being assigned to the Stampede on Dec. 29, Mills posted averages of 30.0 points (21-37 FG, 11-15 3-PT) and 7.5 assists in 34.0 minutes off the bench. In his first professional game, Mills led all players with 38 points and 12 assists on Jan. 1. Mills, selected by the Trail Blazers with the 55th overall pick in the second round of the 2009 NBA Draft, will join the Trail Blazers for tonight's game at the L.A. Clippers.

Alan Anderson paced Rio Grand Valley with 26 points, while Joey Dorsey added 15 points and 13 rebounds.

Joe Crawford scored 23 points, while Diamon Simpson tallied 19 points and 13 rebounds to lead Los Angeles.

Seven Iowa players reached double figures, led by 16 points from Cartier Martin. Curtis Stinson filled the stat sheet with 11 points, nine assists, six rebounds and four steals.

Rob Kurz, Kyle McAlarney and Jared Reiner each scored 18 points for Fort Wayne.

Seven Tulsa players scored in double figures, led by 21 points from Mustafa Shakur. D.J. White, on assignment from Oklahoma City, tallied 13 points and 17 rebounds.

Reggie Williams led Sioux Falls with 31 points.

Sundiata Gaines scored 25 points, while Anthony Tolliver added 16 points and 16 rebounds to lead Idaho.

Desmon Farmer paced Reno with 27 points, while Russell Robinson added 26 points and 10 rebounds.

ALUMNI ACHIEVEMENTS: A look at NBA D-League Alumni in last night's NBA games:

11 players with NBA D-League experience competed in five NBA games last night, three as starters.

Jordan Farmar came off the bench to score 24 points for the Lakers in a win over Dallas. Jose Juan Barea started for Dallas and scored 10 points.
