December 31, 2009 - NBA G League (G League) News Release
WEDNESDAY NIGHT HIGHLIGHTS

Amara Sy led Bakersfield with 18 points and 16 rebounds. The Jam also received outstanding support from guard Jeremy Wise with 16 points, Reece Gaines with 14 points, and center Brian Butch with 13 points and 11 rebounds.
Fort Wayne's Rob Kurz led all scorers with 26 points on the game, and guard Ron Howard contributed 25 points in the Mad Ants loss.
Antonio Anderson finished with a team-high 27 points, five assists and four steals for the Vipers. Garrett Temple scored 20 points and added seven rebounds.
Austin's Curtis Jerrells finished with a game-high 35 points and nine assists. Alonzo Gee followed with 28 points to go with seven rebounds and Dwayne Jones tallied 10 points and 12 rebounds to notch a double-double.
Michael Joiner and Reggie Williams scored 25 and 21 points, respectively, for Sioux Falls, while Greg Stiemsma tallied 15 points and 14 rebounds.
David Bell led Dakota with 21 points and teammate Curtis Withers added 15 points and 14 rebounds.
LESTER HUDSON RECALLED FROM MAINE RED CLAWS
The Boston Celtics announced that guard Lester Hudson has been recalled from the Maine Red Claws of the NBA Development League. Hudson has appeared in five games for the Red Claws this season averaging 14.6 points, 4.8 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game. In his final game with the Red Claws before being recalled he netted 21 points, grabbed five boards and handed out five assists against the Bakersfield Jam on December 27.
ALBUQUERQUE ACQUIRES KURT LOOBY
The Albuquerque Thunderbirds have acquired Kurt Looby from the Rio Grande Valley Vipers in exchange for the rights to Will Conroy, who was reacquired by the team on Tuesday. Looby spent the 2009 NBA Training Camp with the Denver Nuggets, and played for the NBA D-League Select Team during the 2009 NBA Summer League Presented by EA Sports in Las Vegas, averaging 4.8 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game in five contests.
In a related roster move, the Thunderbirds have waived Erek Hansen. Hansen appeared in six games, averaging 1.3 points and 3.5 rebounds per contest.
NBA TV TO FEATURE LIVE GAME BROADCASTS OF 2010 NBA D-LEAGUE SHOWCASE
NBA TV, the league's 24 hour network, will feature seven live game broadcasts of the 2010 NBA Development League Showcase which tips off on Monday, Jan. 4 and runs through Thursday, Jan. 7. The live games on NBA TV will be the first high-definition (HD) sports broadcast utilizing a Newtek TriCaster"! HD portable live production system. Cost-efficient, lightweight, and easy to operate, NewTek TriCaster is currently used by NBA D-League teams to deliver live video webcasts of every game throughout the season via NBA Futurecast on NBA.com/futurecast.
All NBA D-League Showcase games not featured on NBA TV will be available for fans to view for free on NBA.com/futurecast.
ALUMNI ACHIEVEMENTS: A look at NBA D-League Alumni in last night's NBA games:
22 players with NBA D-League experience competed in nine NBA games last night, seven as starters.
Starting for Philadelphia, Lou Williams finished with 22 points in 40 minutes of play, as the 76ers defeated the Kings 116-106.
As a starter for Sacramento, Donte Greene scored 21 points and added six rebounds for the Kings.
