LUCAS SIPS GATORADE: The Houston Rockets signed Tulsa 66ers guard John Lucas on Thursday, making him the first GATORADE Call-Up of the 2005-06 NBA Development League season and the 51st overall since the league began play in November 2001. He is also the first player in Tulsa 66ers history to earn an NBA promotion after averaging 15.1 points, 2.9 rebounds and 3.0 assists in 14 games.
MAKING A NAME: With almost 5,000 votes cast in the latest GATORADE Call-Up Poll, former Florida Flame and current Los Angeles Lakers guard Smush Parker has the nod as the former GATORADE Call-Up making the biggest name for himself in the NBA during this 2005-06 season. MARSHALL ASSIGNMENT: The Dallas Mavericks assigned G/F Rawle Marshall to the Fort Worth Flyers on Thursday. Marshall has played four games with the Mavericks this season, averaging 2.5 minutes, 0.8 points and 0.5 rebounds. He is the 10th NBA player to be assigned to a D-League affiliate this season.
MORE COMING AND GOING: The Albuquerque Thunderbirds have acquired forward Anthony Coleman and waived center Ken Johnson. The Fayetteville Patriots have picked up point guard Cliff Hawkins and released point guard Carlos Hurt.

If the Golden Hurricane defeats Fresno State, fans sporting their TU garb will receive $5 off any seat on Saturday and $2 off any seat if TU loses.
MLK SHOWCASE: The 2006 MLK Showcase, featuring every D-League team in eight games over two days, is scheduled for January 15-16 at the Crown Coliseum in Fayetteville, N.C. Game times each day are 11 a.m., 2 p.m., 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. ET.
