Navigators Uses Big Ninth Inning to Beat Titans, 11-2

The North Shore Navigators (8-5) rolled over the Torrington Titans (6-6) 11-2 on Thursday at Fuessenich Park after a six-run rally in the ninth inning.

The North Shore Navigators scored in the ninth on an error, an RBI double by Tanner Bush, a two-run double by Bush, an RBI single by Brandon Fischer, and a sacrifice fly by Chad Martin.

The Torrington Titans jumped out to an early lead, but they were unable to hang on. The Torrington Titans were ahead until the fourth inning, but the North Shore Navigators would not be denied the win, taking the lead back on a two-run home run by Giovanni Dingcong.

Bush had two extra-base hits for the North Shore Navigators.

Thomas Lane brought the heat against the Torrington Titans during his outing. The Torrington Titans managed just one hit off of the the North Shore Navigators' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out three during his four innings of work.

Taso Stathopolous recorded his second win of the year for the North Shore Navigators. He allowed two runs over five innings. He struck out six, walked five and surrendered four hits.

Taylor Luciani was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked five, struck out seven, and allowed five runs.

The North Shore Navigators' Dingcong, Michael Rizzitello and Bush combined for five hits and five RBIs.
