December 23, 2005 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Tacoma Navigators News Release

Tacoma, WA. The Tacoma Navigators professional basketball team will host its rival, the Bellevue Blackhawks, Friday night at a special event featuring ABA Entertainment, MTV and Fox-TV star, Krishnar. The international recording artist and Calvin Klein model will sing the national anthem and host the halftime show that will be headlined by the Tacoma-based dance troupe, "Reality Check," and a basketball exhibition by the Boys & Girls Club of Tacoma.

Ten Hooters Girls will be on hand to serve as Navigators cheerleaders. Krishnar will also give away a trip to New York City to a lucky fan who will attend the premiere of his reality show, "Key Players," which debuts on MTV early next year. The show features several Navigators players and a special "Day in the Life" segment with former NBA and Seattle Sonics star and Tacoma head coach, Vincent Askew.

Krishnar will kick off the day with an MTV remote from 4-5pm at Chevy's restaurant, 3702 S. Fife, Tacoma, WA 98409. The Chevy's event is free and open to the public. The game at Mt. Tahoma High School, 4634 S. 74th St, Tacoma WA will cost $10 for general admission and $5 for student admission.

Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
