Maywood Buzz News Release

Fresno, CA - Orange County Buzz General Manager/Head Coach Burrel Lee III asked his 2yr old son Jalen to tell Santa Claus in the Mall whatcha want for Christmas. After Jalen finished Burrel walked over and whispered in Santa's ear "yo if you can all I want for Christmas is a Win and to end this 13 game losing streak." The Orange County Buzz ventured up to the Fresno area Thursday night and came away with a 126-122 win.

"All I was thinking is next Christmas I am asking Santa for a NBA Coaching job, becasue the big man came through for us and delivered on my wish" joked Burrel Lee.

But this night wasnt all about wishes and Christmas, newly signed Guard Lamar Gayle showed all why the Buzz signed him, scoring 50pts, grabbing 11 rebounds and picking up 3 steals. "I had 33pts the other night and we lost in Tijuana, I can care less how many I score what is important is that we play as a team and come away with the W" said Gayle.

But Gayle wasnt the only Buzz player having a big game, Rudy Williams added 25pts, 17rebs and 3blks, PG Kamran Sufi added 11pts and a whopping 18 assist. "Kamran has had games of 17, 15, 12, 17 and 18 assist in the last few games and playing 48 minutes, he finally got a rest tonight and it paid off big. I do beleive the last 2 season Kamran led the ABA in assist to turnover ratio" says Coah Lee.

The Buzz next game will be January 3rd vs the Inglewodd Cobras (game can be heard live on www.ocbuzz.net) who tonight knocked the division leading Socal Legends off by 3pts. "This will be a well played game, we have 3 former Inglewood Cobras with us now, Gayle, Eric Maye (8pts 12rebounds & 6blks tonight) and Patrick Binion (13pts, 6rebounds, 4steals tonight)" stated Coach Lee.
