SURPRISE, AZ - Right-hander Louis Coleman and left-handers Everett Teaford and Brandon Sisk scattered seven hits en route to a 6-0 blanking of the West Tennessee Diamond Jaxx on Thursday afternoon. It was the exhibition finale for both clubs. The Diamond Jaxx are the Seattle Mariners' Double-A affiliate in the Southern League.

The talented trio of hurlers combined to fan 12 batters without allowing a walk. Teaford ended up with the win in relief, coming on in place of Coleman in the third inning and allowing three hits and striking out six in five frames. Sisk finished off the shutout and recorded a save with a scoreless eighth and ninth.

West Tennessee limited the Naturals to just two hits through the first six innings before the bats broke out in the seventh. Nick Van Stratten led off with a walk and came home on the ensuing RBI double from Ernesto Mejia. Paulo Orlando doubled in Mejia, and then came home himself on an RBI single from Ryan Eigsti that gave the Naturals a 3-0 lead.

They tacked on three more in the eighth on an RBI single from Johnny Giavotella, a second RBI double from Mejia, and a bases loaded walk issued to Eigsti.

Kurt Mertins joined Mejia as the pair of Naturals to record two hits in the game, while both Mejia and Eigsti drove in a pair of runs.

With the victory, Northwest Arkansas completes its 13-game exhibition schedule with an 8-5 record. The players will arrive in Springdale over the upcoming holiday weekend and have their first workout at Arvest Ballpark on Monday evening.
