Washington Wild Things News Release
Washington, Pa. - The Washington Wild Things, presented by Washington Financial, announced today that National Gold & Silver Refinery will be the presenting sponsor of the team's tenth season in 2011. The team also introduced the commemorative tenth season logo as part of the announcement.
"We are proud to welcome National Gold & Silver Refinery as a new partner for the Wild Things organization, and are especially pleased that they are playing a big role in our milestone tenth year as this season's presenting sponsor," said Todd Marlin, managing director of the Washington Wild Things. "The team at National Gold & Silver Refinery has established themselves as an important business in the tri-state area, and we welcome them to the Washington area and to the Wild Things."
National Gold & Silver Refinery, with current locations in Wheeling, W. Va., Weirton, W. Va., and St. Clairsville, Ohio, will be opening a location at the Hampton Inn on Murtland Avenue in Washington this spring. Customers can sell their gold and silver jewelry, coins and more directly to the refinery, eliminating the middle man and receiving more value for their items. "As we prepare to open our new location in Washington, we are excited about our partnership with the Wild Things," said National Gold & Silver Refinery President Steve Herres. "The Wild Things offer a great source for entertainment not only for the people of southwestern Pennsylvania, but West Virginia and Ohio as well, and we look forward to celebrating the team's tenth season together."
The tenth season logo features the Wild Thing's face on top of an "X" with the team's trademark claw marks. A blue banner incorporates National Gold & Silver Refinery's logo as well. The logo will appear on commemorative apparel and merchandise that fans will be able to purchase this spring.
The Wild Things will open their "9 + one" season at CONSOL Energy Park on May 24 against the Traverse City Beach Bums.
