Wisconsin Rapids, WI - May 14, 2012. The Rafters will hold auditions for anyone interested in singing the National Anthem during the 2012 Rafters Season. Tryouts will be held on Wednesday May 16, 2012 at Witter Field. Singers may stop by the Rafters office, located inside the Rafthouse Log Cabin, between 5 and 6 p.m. on Wednesday for auditions.
Fans should bring a list of dates they will be available to sing during the 2012 season. Candidates will be asked to sing their rendition of the National Anthem for a panel of judges. No decisions will be made on-site and qualifying singers will be notified after the event. The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters are members of the 16-team summer collegiate Northwoods League. The Rafters will play a 70 game schedule with 35 home games in 2012. Opening Day at historic Witter Field is scheduled for Wednesday, May 30th at 7:05 pm against the La Crosse Loggers. Available quantities of all promotional giveaways will vary from event to event and will be available on a first come, first serve basis.ÃÂ The best way to guarantee giveaway items is to purchase a 9-Game Package.
