NASL Suspends Pablo Campos One Match

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (September 4, 2013) - The North American Soccer League has suspended Minnesota United FC forward Pablo Campos for one match following the post game incident after United's 3-2 victory on August 31 against the San Antonio Scorpions.

"We are very disappointed with the decision made by the league today," said United President Nick Rogers. "We believe Pablo reacted in a natural way and should not receive any disciplinary action for simply protecting himself. Pablo has been a great asset to our organization this season, both on the field and in the community, and we will continue to stand behind him."

Campos will miss the match versus FC Edmonton on Saturday, September 7 and will be eligible to return to the field the following Saturday, September 14 against the New York Cosmos. Campos has scored 8 goals in 2013 for United.

San Antonio Scorpions midfielder Kevin Harmse will be suspended for 6 matches for his actions following the match and Scorpions forward Esteban Bayona will be suspended for the next two matches.

Campos, Harmse and Bayona also received fines from the League.

United returns to action this Saturday, September 7 at 6 p.m. at the National Sports Center Stadium.
