From the Notes
Against the Dodgers: These two teams played a four-game series in Oklahoma City last weekend and it was mostly all Dodgers as Oklahoma City won three games and outscored Nashville, 32-15. The Dodgers hit .350 (50-for-143) while the Sounds hit only .224 (30-for-134) in the four games. Since becoming a Dodgers affiliate, Oklahoma City has had Nashville's number. In the last three-plus years, the two teams have played 52 games with the Dodgers winning 35.
Another Series Win: Despite not being able to garner their first series sweep of the year, the Sounds tallied another series win by taking three of four from the Sky Sox. The Sounds have now won seven of the 12 series they have played. Overall, their series record is 7-4-1.
Garcia's Three is Nashville's 100: Outfielder Anthony Garcia notched his first three-hit game of the season in last night's loss. It was his ninth multi-hit game of the year, and the 100th multi-hit game for the Sounds in 2018. Dustin Fowler leads the Sounds with 14 multi-hit games despite being recalled by Oakland May 9.
Hip Hip Jorge: Shortstop Jorge Mateo has hit safely is a season-high four games. During the streak, he's hitting .385 (5-for-13) with 2 RBI, 2 runs scored, 2 triples, 1 walk and 2 stolen bases. After hitting .172 (15-for-87) in the month of April, the 22-year-old Mateo is hitting .257 (19-for-74) in May.
Errorless Streak Ended: Nashville committed a season-high four errors in last night's loss. One was by first baseman Nick Martini, his first of the season. It broke his team-high streak of 40 games without committing an error.
