Nine and Looking for Ten: The Sounds head into Colorado Springs on a season-best nine-game winning streak. It's the longest winning streak for the franchise since the 2016 team won nine straight games from May 23-31. The longest winning streak for the Sounds in the Pacific Coast League era (1998-present) is 15 games from June 2-20, 1999. A win tonight would push the streak to 10 in a row and become the second-longest winning streak in the PCL era.

Mateo's Theft: Shortstop Jorge Mateo notched his 20th stolen base of the season Tuesday night. It's the first time a Sounds player had 20 or more steals since Craig Gentry (25) and Jason Pridie (20) in 2015. Mateo's 20 steals is tied for sixth-most in the Pacific Coast League.

It Starts with Boog: When Boog Powell hits in the leadoff spot for Nashville, the Sounds are 5-0. In those five games (August 3-present), Powell is hitting .318 (7-for-22) with 5 runs scored, 2 RBI and 1 double.

Sheldon's Rise: Third baseman Sheldon Neuse continues his second-half surge with the Sounds. After hitting .141 (10-for-71) in April and .220 (22-for-100) in May, Neuse hit .306 (30-for-98) in June, .306 (34-for-11) in July and is now hitting .333 (8-for-24) in August.

Fair Not Fowl: Outfielder Dustin Fowler had another multi-hit effort for the Sounds on Tuesday night. In only 35 games, Fowler has 17 multi-hit games. He's hitting .327 (48-for-147) with Nashville.
