From the Notes
Barreto's Big Day: Second baseman Franklin Barreto had one of the best games of his young career yesterday afternoon. He finished the day 3-for-4 with 5 RBI, 2 runs scored and a pair of home runs. It was the fifth multi-homer game of his career, and the third time he has knocked in five runs.
Broom Ball: The Sounds look for their first four-game sweep of the season this afternoon. The last time a Nashville team swept a team in four games was September 1-4 last year in New Orleans. The Sounds had an opportunity to get a three-game sweep against Iowa on April 12 but lost the finale, 6-3, in extra innings.
May the Power be with you: After hitting just nine home runs in 24 games in the month of April, the Sounds have already hit eight in just five games in the month of May. The eight homers is the fourth-most in the PCL. Nashville's slugging in the month of May is .510, as compared to .329 in April.
