Nashville Soccer Club returns to GEODIS Park to host Toronto FC Saturday

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Nashville Soccer Club returns to GEODIS Park to host Toronto FC at 7:30 p.m. CT on Saturday in a match that can be seen on MLS Season Pass on the Apple TV App and is available on radio at 104.5 The Zone. Limited tickets are available at www.NashvilleSC.com/Tickets

Nashville SC (3W-2L-1D, 10 pts.) is coming off a sensational road performance after defeating Orlando City SC 2-0. Reigning MLS MVP Hany Mukhtar and Captain Walker Zimmerman's performances earned them a place in the MLS Team of the Matchday.

Mukhtar continued his dominance over Orlando City, assisting on the opening goal and scoring his first goal of the season to secure the win. Mukhtar has now been involved in four of Nashville's six goals this season (1 goal, 3 assists). Meanwhile, Zimmerman, who made his 200th career start, anchored a backline that sealed its fourth shutout of the season while preserving the lead for the least number of goals conceded (2).

Another player to watch this weekend will be winger Jacob Shaffelburg. The former Toronto FC speedster could make his first appearance against his former side since being traded to Nashville SC on Aug. 2, 2022. Shaffelburg made 47 MLS regular season appearances in three seasons with Toronto FC, scoring three goals. With four goals in just 12 starts for Nashville SC, Shaffelburg has surpassed his goal total from his time with Toronto.

NSC Backstage, the official weekly radio show of Nashville SC will air on 104.5 The Zone this Wednesday. Featuring the voices of Will Boling, Lucas Panzica and Jalil Anibaba, fans will be able to listen to interviews with players and staff.

On Thursday, Nashville SC will host its weekly media availability featuring Head Coach Gary Smith and Shaffelburg. Media interested in covering the availability in person must RVSP to Nashville SC Communications by 10 a.m. CT on Wednesday, April 5.

Nashville SC's MLS NEXT Pro affiliate Huntsville City FC will travel to FC Cincinnati on Sunday, April 9 for a 4 p.m. CT kickoff in its third match of the season. Fans will be able to attend a watch party at Fractal Brewing Project and what the match on MLS Season Pass on the Apple TV App.

Prior to the match, Head Coach Jack Collison will be available to the media both in person and via Zoom at noon CT on Friday.
