Nashville SC Returns to GEODIS Park for 90s Night, API Night against Toronto FC

May 14, 2024 - Major League Soccer (MLS)
Nashville SC News Release

The Boys in Gold are in midweek MLS action for the first time in 2024 at GEODIS Park with Canadian-based side Toronto FC.

Key Storylines

1. Celebrating API Night and 90s Night - GEODIS Park will play host to two different theme nights rolled into one. To celebrate API heritage, an API patch with proceeds benefiting API Middle TN will be available for purchase in the Team Store and in-match entertainment will be provided by API artists. Additionally, several Asian American & Pacific Islander Community Organizations will be recognized and celebrated at GEODIS Park.

2. Alien Ant Farm will headline a pre match concert for 90s Night, which will also include a specialty 90s-designed scarf and koozie will be available for purchase in the Team Store. The first 10,000 fans through the gates Wednesday night will receive a free slap bracelet provided by Cesar.

3. Toronto FC without Bernardeschi - The Reds will be visiting GEODIS Park without Federico Bernardeschi, the Italian attacker who joined Toronto in 2022, after he picked up a red card deep into stoppage time against NYCFC. He's been one of Toronto's main threats going forward this season, boasting three goals and three assists. He's also started all 12 matches he's appeared in this season, so the Reds will have to adjust to his absence.

Opposition Player to Watch

Matty Longstaff is a recent midfield acquisition for Toronto FC who has experience playing in England. In 546 minutes, he has one goal and two assists and an 88.7 passing accuracy.
