
Nashville SC Opens 2021 Preseason with 4-0 Win over Louisville City FC

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. - Nashville Soccer Club began their preseason schedule with a 4-0 win over Louisville City FC Saturday afternoon at Currey Ingram Academy. Hany Mukhtar found the back of the net twice along with CJ Sapong and an unsigned player during the scrimmage which consisted of three 30 minute periods.
The Boys in Gold opened the scoring in the 7th minute when Sapong headed home a free kick by Mukhtar. The German midfielder continued his hot start to preseason with a penalty kick in the 17th minute followed by a deflected goal in the 19th minute. The scoring was capped off by an unsigned player in the 58th minute.
Nashville SC will travel to Bradenton, Fla. tomorrow to begin the second phase of preseason training, presented by Vanderbilt Health. The Boys in Gold will return to action on Wednesday when they face New York Red Bulls at 2 p.m. CT from IMG Academy.
