Nashville SC Jumps to Second in Power Rankings
April 16, 2019 - United Soccer League Championship (USL)
Nashville SC News Release
TAMPA - Another weekend with a win and another move up the USL Championship Power Rankings for Nashville SC. On a two-game winning streak, Nashville SC (3-1-1, 10 pts) is now 2nd in the Power Rankings, trailing only the Tampa Bay Rowdies (3-0-3, 12 pts). Second place marks the highest Nashville has been in the Power Rankings this season, matching its Week 1 ranking following its season-opening victory over Loudoun United.
It's the second consecutive week that Nashville has moved up, after its season-low ranking of 8th after Week 4. Nashville has never fallen outside the Top-10 this season in the Power Rankings, and will have a chance to claim the top spot with a win in its next match, on the road at Charleston Battery, who are ranked 13th.
Following the loss to Nashville SC this weekend, Memphis 901 FC dropped four spots to 32nd out of 36 teams.
Nashville has already played two of the top 5 teams in the rankings and its next home game on May 8, against top-ranked Tampa Bay, looks to be its biggest regular season game so far.
