3 Things to Watch: Bethlehem Steel FC
April 16, 2019 - United Soccer League Championship (USL)
Charlotte Independence News Release
The Charlotte Independence face the first test of depth on a two-day turnaround following Saturday's match with New York Red Bulls II. Newcomer Niki Jackson provided a spark to the offense by netting the game's opening goal, but two goals in three minutes left the Independence short of gaining points.
Bethlehem Steel FC enters Tuesday's road test on their best run of form this season, earning two wins and draw in their most recent fixtures. Forward Kacper Przybylko bagged a brace in his last outing, which proved to be the game-winner against the Charleston Battery.

3 Things to Watch For:
SHORT REST
Tuesday's match against Bethlehem Steel comes just two days after the Independence faced off with New York Red Bulls II on Saturday night. The advantages the Independence hold are the back-to-back home fixtures and Bethlehem also played on Saturday, meaning both teams are on equal rest.
KEEP CLEAN
The Independence has failed to keep their opponents off the scoreboard in the first half this season. In fact, the last shutout for the Independence came in August of last season against the Pittsburgh Riverhounds. The good news is the Independence is coming off a scoreless defensive second half against New York, and both of Bethlehem's defeats have come when the team has been shutouts.
MCKENNA STRONG
Today's game the Charlotte soccer community once again rallies in support of 15-year-old McKenna Woodhead, who has provided so much inspiration for so many. Last summer, McKenna was paralyzed in a jet ski accident but has . All tickets proceeds for the 2nd Annual McKenna Strong game will go to help her recovery.
