American Defenders of New Hampshire News Release

(Nashua, N.H., June 9, 2008) Professional golfer, Allen Doyle, will kick off the Nashua Pride's upcoming Sports Fantasy Extravaganza Weekend lineup beginning on July 17. The action-packed weekend will take place at Historic Holman Stadium with the arrival of Doyle on July 17 and continue throughout the weekend with appearances by other wellknown New England sports figures. The Pride will be hosting the Ottawa Rapidz in a 4-game series.

Doyle, a graduate of Norwich University in Vermont, is a member of the University's Sports Hall of Fame. While at Norwich, he played both ice hockey and golf - capturing the ECAC Golf Championship in 1970. He continues to give back to the school that gave him his start, as he sponsors an annual golf tournament, The Allen Doyle Norwich Hockey Golf Classic, which helps support the college hockey program.

Doyle didn't turn pro until he was 46, despite winning numerous amateur titles. To date, he has seven amateur wins, three Nike Tour wins and eleven Champions Tour wins, including the 2005 U. S. Senior Open, under his belt. He is also a member of the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame and the Georgia Golf Hall of Fame.

Before turning pro, he was long recognized as a talented amateur golfer, including being a two-timw member of the Walker Cup Team. He earned his PGA playing privileges by finishing top 10 on the Nike Tour (3 times) at age 48. He then earned his card by winning the PGA Tour's Qualifying School at the age of 49. Eligible to join the Seniors Tour at 50, he went on to win the Senior Tour's "Q" School the next year to gain privileges in the Champions Tour. Doyle will be competing in the upcoming 2008 U. S. Senior Open in Colorado Springs beginning July 28.

Doyle will be available on July 17 for a pre-game golf clinic at Holman Stadium. He will also sign autographs during the game and there will be plenty of on-field golf promotions including a chipping and putting challenge.

The Nashua Pride Professional Baseball Club, entering its 11th season, provides a fun, affordable, community-based and fan-friendly source of sports entertainment. The 2007 Can-Am League Champions will be participating in its third year of play in the Canadian-American Association of Professional Baseball.
