WHEELING, WV - The Wheeling Nailers, the $B!F(BAA$B!G(B affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins, have signed defensemen Doug Krantz, it was announced today by team President Jim Brooks. As per club policy, no further terms were disclosed.
"Doug is going to be a solid performer for us. He had a fine career at Cornell and he will provide the Nailers with excellence at both ends of the ice." Said Head Coach Greg Puhalski. Krantz, 25, a native of Marysville, BC, scored 38 points (15 goals, 23 assists) in four seasons at Cornell University. The 6-3, 195 pound forward also posted 73 penalty minutes.
