
Mystics to host WNBA Women of the U.S. Olympic Teams

Washington, D.C. â The Washington Mystics will host the "The WNBA Salutes the Women of the U.S. Olympic Teams" Tour this Sunday, September 12th when the team plays its final home game of the regular season at MCI Center versus the Houston Comets at noon.
The tour features Olympians Siri Mullinix (Soccer, 2000), Nancy Haberland (Sailing, 2004), Katie Hoff (Swimming, 2004), Dominique Dawes (Gymnastics 1992, 1996), Sam Magee (Rowing, 2004), Cindy Parlow (Soccer 1996, 2000), Cat Reddick (Soccer, 2004), Megan Dirkmaat (Rowing, 2004). The athletes will participate in a special halftime ceremony hosted by former Olympic swimmer Summer Sanders.
"We are excited to welcome such accomplished athletes to MCI Center," said Mystics Senior Vice President of Business and Basketball Operations Judy Holland Burton. "As Olympians, they have represented this country in the ultimate athletic competition and they deserve our recognition."
The Mystics are just one game out of the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference with five games remaining in the regular season.
The team will take on the New York Liberty tonight at MCI Center at 7:00 p.m. in one of two home games left. Tickets for the remaining games are still available and can be purchased by visiting the MCI Center Box Office or calling TicketMaster PhoneCharge at (202) 397-SEAT.
