ABC will televise the game at 3:30 p.m. ET. It is the second time that our nation's capital has opened its doors to the league's showcase event having first hosted the WNBA All-Star Game in 2002.
Beginning at 12:45 p.m. on Tuesday, January 16, Detroit Shock season ticket holders will have access to 100 premium seats at the 2007 WNBA All-Star Game. Qualified Shock fans will receive details regarding this special offer via e-mail and/or phone call from their ticket representatives beginning this afternoon. This offer runs through Sunday, January 21 at 10 p.m..

In addition to the All-Star Game, the WNBA will showcase its athletes with the Dribble, Dish & Swish Skills Challenge and the Three-Point Shoot Out. Both events are sponsored by adidas and are included in the price of admission to the All-Star Game.
The 2007 WNBA All-Star Game is the eighth such game in league history. The first WNBA All-Star Game was held at New York's Madison Square Garden during the 1999 season. In 2004, there was no official All-Star Game as the league instead hosted WNBA vs. USA Basketball: The Game at Radio City as a send off for the 2004 US Olympic Team.
The Western Conference won six of the first seven All-Star Games with the East's lone win coming last season at New York's Madison Square Garden. Katie Smith, Deanna Nolan and Cheryl Ford represented the Shock on the Eastern Conference roster last season, and in 2005 the Shock became the first team in league history to have four players play in the same All-Star Game (Smith, Nolan, Ford and Swin Cash).
