
Mystics Guard Latta Named Player of the Week

WASHINGTON, D.C. -Washington Mystics guard Ivory Latta received player of the week honors for games played the week of June 3 against the Connecticut Sun and Minnesota Lynx. She averaged 20.5 points per game, 4.5 rebounds per game and 4.0 assists per game. Against the Sun, Latta scored 10 of her 17 points in the fourth quarter to lead the Mystics to a 66-62 victory. The next day, Latta and her teammates took on the 2011 WNBA Champions Minnesota Lynx. She scored 17 of her 24 points in the second half as the Mystics held on to their lead for an 85-80 win. It is the first time in her WNBA career that Latta has been named player of the week.
