
Muswagon invited to Moose training camp

The Manitoba Moose announced today the signing of forward Jamie Muswagon to a training camp contract.
Last season, Muswagon, 21, played for the OCN Blizzard of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League (MJHL). The Cross Lake, MB native was instrumental in leading the club to their fourth consecutive MJHL's Turnbull Cup Championship, the Anavet Cup Champs and finalist of the Royal Bank Cup. He was ninth leading league scorer with 92 points (38 goals, 54 assists) and was selected to the second team MJHL All-Star Team. The 6'1 winger also earned MJHL Hockey Ability and Sportsmanship Award.
In 2000-01, Muswagon had a strong year by finishing second in league scoring while notching 109 points (47 goals, 62 assists). He was a major contributor to another Turnbull Cup Championship. Muswagon was selected as MJHL Most Valuable Player and earned first Team MJHL All-Star honours.
The 2002 Manitoba Moose training camp will start on Tuesday, September 24.
