After Aldo Buendia and Brandon Perez singled to start the inning, Jacob Barfield doubled off the left field wall to drive them both in. Griffin Barnes drove in the other run to lead 3-1.

Sacrifice flies by Jalen Garcia and Marcus Skundrich in the third and fourth innings would tie the game at three a piece after four innings of play. Billings came up with a run in the sixth and seventh inning. After Jalen Garcia doubled home a run in the seventh, the Mustangs had runners on second and third with two outs before Oscar Marcelino struck out Christian Sepulveda to end the game and defeat the Mustangs 7-5.
