Must Win Weekend for Wave; Away/Home Series against St. Louis.
March 16, 2022 - Major Arena Soccer League (MASL)
Milwaukee Wave News Release
The 7-time champion Milwaukee Wave are up against the playoff wall and have a very busy weekend ahead of them in a away/home series with the St. Louis Ambush.
"We know St. Louis has a good team and it's going to come down to the match ups this weekend," said Head Coach Giuliano Oliviero. "The good news is that we are getting some veteran experience off of injury list and back on the field. It's exciting to watch the teams confidence grow!"
The Wave (6-11) are on a 5 game losing streak and have been riddled with injuries. MKE has not won a game since February 19 against the Kansas City Comets at UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena.
The Ambush (7-10) were just handed a loss by the Florida Tropics last weekend, snapping a two game winning streak, and are also playing for their playoff lives.
"If we have quality in what we do this weekend, I feel pretty good about getting some results," added Oliviero. "Kudos to the young guys for stepping up during these trying times."
MKE Wave @ St. Louis Ambush - Friday, March 18 - 7:35pm (CT) from The Family Arena in St. Charles, Missouri.
