Allen Americans News Release
Ontario, California - The Allen Americans have dropped three straight games in the Western Conference Finals and trail the Ontario Reign 3-1 in the series. Puck drop is at 8:00 pm DFW time.
The Americans face a must win situation today for the first time in the 2015 playoffs. Allen has not won since the 8-2 victory in Game 1. The Americans road power play has really struggled, going just 1 for 27 in the playoffs, at 3.4 %. Only Florida and Orlando have a worse road power play percentage.
"We have our backs to the wall today and must win to extend the series," said Americans Assistant Coach Erik Adams. "We can't make excuses. We have to go out and beat them today or our season is over. I expect our guys to respond today."
The Americans have not had a goal from a forward since Game 1. Justin Baker has the lone Americans goal since the 8-2 win on May 17th. Allen is 1-1 in Game 4's this postseason and 1-1 on Sunday.
A win today by the Americans, and the series shifts back to Allen for Game 6 & 7 if necessary. Tickets are on sale at www.ticketmaster.com or call 972-912-1000.
