Mudcats Announce New Promotions Schedule for 2017 Season

ZEBULON, NC - The Carolina Mudcats have released the team's 2017 season promotions schedule, which features eight souvenir giveaways, themed jersey days, 16 total fireworks nights and the ever-popular Mudcats for America Series.

The 2017 promotions schedule also features two Dirty Dogs Spa Bark in the Park days (April 23, August 6), Star Wars Weekend (May 5-7), 90's Nickelodeon Night featuring Double Dare (June 17) and Play4Kay Strike Out Cancer Weekend (July 28-30).

Individual game tickets for the 2017 season are now immediately available online at carolinamudcats.com/tickets. Full, half and quarter season ticket packages as well as group ticket packages and the latest Muddy's Unreal Deals are also currently available by visiting the Five County Stadium front office in Zebulon and by calling (919) 269-CATS (2287).

Souvenir Giveaways:

2017 Magnetic Schedule Giveaway (April 13 - April 16 vs. Frederick Keys):

The first four games of the new season, including Opening Night 2017 on Thursday, April 13, will feature a free 2017 season Magnet Schedule Giveaway for families as they enter through the Five County Stadium gates. The magnetic schedule giveaway begins on Thursday, April 13 and runs through Sunday, April 16 (while supplies last).

Arm Sleeve Giveaway (Friday, May 5 vs. Frederick Keys):

Fans can "join the resistance" as the Mudcats take on the Frederick Keys for Star Wars Weekend and an Arm Sleeve Giveaway on Friday, May 5. The Mudcats will handout a one-of-a-kind souvenir arm sleeve to the first 1,200 kids in the ballpark.

House Mudcats Flag Giveaway (Saturday, May 27 vs. Myrtle Beach Pelicans):

The Mudcats bring the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros to Five County Stadium with "Game of Ponds Night" on Saturday, May 27. The first 1,200 fans through the gates will receive their very own House Mudcats Bannermen Flag; inspired by the hit HBO Series "Game of Thrones."

Cowbell Giveaway (Saturday, July 1 vs. Winston-Salem Dash):

The Mudcats will pay homage to Saturday Night Live with skits and games centered on the iconic TV show with "Live from Five County Stadium, It's Saturday Night" on Saturday, July 1. The first 1,200 fans through the gates will receive a souvenir Mudcats Cowbell.

Water Bottle Giveaway (Saturday, July 15 vs. Down East Wood Ducks):

Health and Fitness night on Saturday, July 15 includes a special, one-of-a-kind Mudcats Water Bottle Giveaway for the first 1,200 fans at Five County Stadium.

Bobblehead Giveaway (Saturday, July 29 vs. Wilmington Blue Rocks):

Play4Kay Strike Out Cancer Weekend begins on Friday, July 28 and will feature a souvenir Muddy the Mudcat Bobblehead Giveaway on Saturday, July 29. The Mudcats will also wear special Strike Out Cancer jerseys throughout the weekend series. The Strike Out Cancer jerseys will later be auctioned off, with the net proceeds benefiting the Kay Yow Cancer Fund.

Budweiser Pint Glass Giveaway (Saturday, August 19 vs. Frederick Keys):

The football season kicks off early when the Mudcats host their "Football Kickoff Party" on Saturday, August 19 at Five County Stadium. The first 1,500 fans 21 and over through the gates will receive a one-of-a-kind Budweiser Pint Glass that same night.

Cooler Bag Giveaway (Saturday, September 2 vs. Myrtle Beach Pelicans):

The Mudcats are casting their lines and looking for a bite on Saturday, September 2 for "Gone Fishing Night" and a Cooler Bag Giveaway. The first 1,200 fans through the Five County Stadium gates will receive a Mudcats cooler bag.

Themed Jerseys:

90's Nickelodeon Double Dare Jersey (Saturday, June 17 vs. Potomac Nationals):

Fans can relive one of their favorite 90's Nickelodeon game shows with the Mudcats and 90's Nickelodeon Night Featuring Double Dare on Saturday, June 17. The Mudcats will wear a special Double Dare themed jersey that will be auctioned off with the net proceeds benefiting the Miracle League of the Triangle. Also, kids 12 and under will receive small prizes throughout the night.

Play4Kay Strike Out Cancer Weekend (July 28 - July 30 vs. Wilmington Blue Rocks):

Play4Kay Strike Out Cancer Weekend features a souvenir Muddy the Mudcat Bobblehead Giveaway on Saturday, July 29 when the Mudcats play the Wilmington Blue Rocks. The Mudcats will also wear special Strike Out Cancer jerseys throughout the weekend series. The Strike Out Cancer jerseys will later be auctioned off with the net proceeds benefiting the Kay Yow Cancer Fund.

Patriotic Themed Jerseys (May 29, July 3, July 4, August 18 and September 4):

The Mudcats invite fans to help them honor the men and women of our armed forces as they wear patriotic themed jerseys on five separate dates (May 29, July 3, July 4, August 18 and September 4) throughout the season. The special patriotic themed jerseys will be auctioned off later in the year with the net proceeds benefiting Hire Heroes USA.

Special Events:

Dirty Dogs Spa presents Bark in the Park (Sunday, April 23 & Sunday, August 6):

The Mudcats and Dirty Dogs Spa team up once again to proudly present two different Bark in the Park days for the new 2017 season. The first Dirty Dogs Spa Bark in the Park day is scheduled for Sunday April 23; the second is scheduled for Sunday, August 6. Admission for fans with a dog to each Bark in the Park game is $7.00. Canine tickets are an additional $5.00 for dogs of all sizes. Proceeds from the $5.00 canine tickets purchased on April 23 will directly benefit Paws for Life Animal Rescue. Proceeds generated from the $5.00 canine tickets purchased on August 6 directly benefit the SPCA of Wake County.

Pack Your Bags Night (Friday, May 12 vs. Winston-Salem Dash):

One lucky fan will win a free trip for four to Myrtle Beach courtesy of VisitMyrtleBeach.com for Pack Your Bags Night on Friday, May 12 when the Mudcats play the Winston-Salem Dash.

Mudcats for America Series (Monday, July 3 & Tuesday, July 4):

The ever-popular Mudcats for America Fireworks Series returns on Monday, July 3 and continues on Independence Day, July 4. Both games will feature spectacular post-game fireworks shows presented by Sears Home Services and the Mudcats players will wear their patriotic themed jerseys on both days.
