Mudbugs vs. Eagles: Game 4 Tomorrow at CTC

BOSSIER CITY, LA - The Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs' quest for the 2010 CHL Ray Miron President's Cup Championship continues tomorrow at the CenturyTel Center with Game 4 of their second round playoff series against Colorado at 7:05 pm, presented by Willis-Knighton Sports Medicine. Holding a 3-0 series lead, the âBugs need only one more victory to eliminate the Eagles and advance to round three.
Tomorrow night's game is also "JDRF Night", where the Mudbugs will spotlight the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. JDRF is the worldwide leader for type 1 diabetes research and is devoted to finding a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research.
Prior to the game, the Mudbugs will present the foundation with a check for the nearly $7,500 raised during our "âBugs at Your Service" event at Buffalo Wild Wings in February and the auction of the team's warm-up jerseys after our regular season home finale. JDRF will also have an information table on the concourse where you can find out more about juvenile diabetes and donate to the cause.
Bossier-Shreveport put Colorado against the ropes Tuesday night with a 3-1 victory in Game 3 at the CTC, giving the âBugs an opportunity to close out the series on home ice tomorrow. The Mudbugs took the first two games of the series at the Budweiser Events Center to bring a 2-0 lead home from Colorado with a pair of 4-3 wins. No team in CHL history has ever come back from a 0-3 deficit to win a best-of-seven playoff series, but the high-scoring Eagles are sure to come out strong with their season on the line in Game 4.
If the âBugs win tomorrow, they will advance to play either Rapid City or Missouri in their first Northern Conference Finals appearance since 2006. If the Eagles win to extend the series, however, Game 5 will take place Friday night at 7:05 pm, again at the CenturyTel Center.
