Durham, NC- Mike Peeples went 2-for-4 with four RBI in his Toledo debut as the Mud Hens defeated the Durham Bulls 7-3 on Saturday night at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park.
Peeples, in his first game since being signed to a minor league contract by the Tigers, had a pair of two-RBI doubles. Warren Morris added his second home run of the season and Cody Ross went 2-for-5 for the Mud Hens.
RHP Shane Loux (6-1) picked up the victory with five strong innings of relief. He allowed one run (earned) and three hits while striking out one. RHP Matt Anderson started the game and went three innings, allowing two runs (earned) and four hits while striking out four and walking one.
RHP Victor Zambrano (0-1) took the defeat in his first Bulls' start of the season. He allowed six runs (two earned) and four hits over four innings. He walked two and fanned six. Jason Smith and George Lombard each homered for the Bulls.
