Mud Frogs getting set for next season

March 13, 2007 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Tennessee Mud Frogs News Release

Chattanooga, TN. No sooner had the ABA Tennessee Mud Frogs ended their first season, missing the playoffs by one game, but they have already started getting set for next season establishing a partnership between the team and the Shelby County Head Start Programs.

The team met with the Head Start Administration to discuss avenues on becoming involved with bringing fathers and their children together through mentoring and other activities to bridge the gaps between fatherhood and parenting at risk children.

The Mud Frogs also visited Lucy Campbell Elementary School and spoke with sixth graders and discussed the presence and being available to the school to help with role models while showing the students positive outlooks on life. Both visits were positive and informing for the community and are part of the Tennessee Mud Frogs continuing efforts to help their community. Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
