MONTPELIER, Vt. - Tuesday night's New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL) contest between the Vermont Mountaineers and Newport Gulls has been postponed due to expected inclement weather in Central Vermont throughout the afternoon and evening.

The game marks the seventh rainout for the Mountaineers this summer.

The inter-division meeting has been rescheduled for Sunday, July 12, at Recreation Field, with the first pitch slated for 6:30 p.m.

The Mountaineers will return to action on Thursday evening, when they head to Holyoke, Massachusetts, to square off with the Valley Blue Sox at 6:30 p.m. The game can be heard locally on CBS Sports 1240 WSKI and online at thevermontmountaineers.com.
