September 30, 2010 - United Football League (UFL 1)
Sacramento Mountain Lions News Release
The Sacramento Mountain Lions will hold a viewing party at Bisla's Sports Bar (7042 Folsom Blvd., Sacramento, Ca. 95826) for Saturday's game against the Omaha Nighthawks.
Kickoff is set for 5:30 p.m. (Pacific time) and the game will be shown on HDNET. Fans can join the Lady Lions dance team and front office staff to watch the game. This UFL matchup is being called the "Rumble at Rosenblatt" Stadium. It will feature quarterbacks Daunte Culpepper, of the Mountain Lions, and Jeff Garcia, of the Nighthawks. Culpepper and Garcia were named the UFL's co-Offensive Players of the Week for Week 2 for leading their respective teams to victory in the closing minute of play.
Joe Wagoner, Director of Business Management for the Mountain Lions, is excited to keep the momentum going after about 20,000 fans showed up at Hornet Stadium to watch the first home game on Saturday, Sept. 25.
"We realize that most people can't travel to the away games and we wanted to offer a place where fans can keep the energy level up, even when the Mountain Lions are on the road," Wagoner said. "This week we will be offering more raffle prizes and we are introducing a new cocktail called the Sac Mountain Lion Roar."
The team will host these viewing parties during every away game for the rest of the season. The dates and kickoff times for the final two away games are as follows:
